Yes, I'm still workin' on it!

I'm back in action. Yes, I'm still working on the chevy. I've spent the last few month procuring parts (scavenging junk yards). I've also picked up a few more tools. I manage to get an impact wrench(priceless), 4 1/2in. grinder, pry bar set, slide hammer set, 5.5HP 20gal compressor, big racing jack, and pickle fork. Parts wise, I found a 1972 wiper motor, spindles from '85 caprice(for a big brake upgrade), suspension adapter kit from Ken Crocie, bushing set from Summit Racing (for the A-arms), transmission oil cooler, and a sway bar. So you can see, I'm ahead of the curve on budget spending. I'm not building a show car so I feel like I'm on track so far.

Regrettably, another assistant bites the dust. Sky moved out to live with his fiance( the nerve!). It's all good. Recently I had some company fly in and I got a very productive Saturday's work in on the car. My brothers flew into town to help celebrate my 35th birthday. What a blast! That whole weekend was a bit of a blur, though. One drove across town from Riverdale. One flew in from Maryland; and my big brother just got back from Italy. Awesome, right! Through the haze of high priced cigars and beer we actually managed to refurbish some of the jyd parts and blow apart the front suspension to paint the frame and rebuild the front.

It was like 102deg that weekend, too; so we did a lot considering that. Check out few pics from that weekend.
